kitchen explosion

There was an explosion in my kitchen tonight. My girlfriend and I were coated in extremely hot and sharp shards of glass. Awesomely, we’re both okay, I have a small cut on my finger and that is about it. Still, spooky.

What happened was this:
A pyrex dish was put on the stove, and element didn’t seem to be on. It super heated and exploded. The molten glass has ruined the lino, but seriously, we were so lucky that our faces were turned away. My long luxurious hair caught many slivers and a few shards in it. Thankfully its glossy sleekness allowed them to fall harmlessly to the floor. God only knows what would have happened if I had had split ends. Is pyrex good for damaged hair? Maybe I should talk to a hair dresser.
